During the 2007 tour, Derek has done a sit down set that includes him playing on a 36 National. A lot of questions have been asked as to where this guitar came from. If you go to the link

you will hear Mike and Derek at a radio station in New Jersey. During the interview they discuss the band, how Mike (who joined in May 2002) became the lead singer, and the 36 National. Derek found the guitar in Atlanta and it once belonged to Bukka White, the famous blues man.
